Small Business Design Solutions (SBDS) was created out of a desire to help individuals with smaller budgets achieve professional looking materials. We have seen so many, shall we say, “unfriendly” websites, flyers, business cards, etc. out there, quite frankly, it saddens us.  We LOVE the process of design and simplification, and feel blessed to be able to offer the creative help upon which small businesses can depend!

We are a local small business, owned by one person. With SBDS you will primarily work with the Owner and Lead Designer, Kim, who, if need be, works with a small network of designers, coding experts, marketing specialists, and more. If we can’t help you, we can definitely refer you to someone who can! And, best of all, your costs are kept minimal due to a lack of overhead costs.

The Owner

Kalamazoo web designer, Kim Kopec has always had a creative streak as well as a love for technology and naturally fell into graphic design. Once she started “playing with the cool design programs,” she couldn’t stop! Kim says she was blessed with a decent eye for aesthetics and a hunger to continually learn! She has 18+ years of experience in the areas of marketing, specialty advertising, sales, printing, and church communications.

Kim is thrilled to be able to help others by doing what she loves. Her diverse work experience has given her an understanding of the design side of business as well as the customer service side of business, and she prides herself in offering the best of both.

Kim lives in Kalamazoo, MI, with her supportive hubby, two beautiful daughters, two fabulous Pugs and lots of fun technology! Her motto is:  ”Behind every great design, is a substantial amount of Therefore, I usually do not object to Starbucks cards as partial payment! coffee .”
